How to export from Fidelity for dividend income by holding
You’ll download two CSVs. History is the Activity file that includes dividend transactions (and other activity). Positions is your holdings list — not cash balances. DividendsHQ uses both so you can review dividend income by holding in context — educational only, not investment advice.
This page is an educational walkthrough. DividendsHQ is decision-support on your exports or EXAMPLE DATA. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation to buy, hold, or sell, and not a promise of returns. If grades appear elsewhere on the site, A–D means historical payout consistency only.
How to export from Fidelity
- Positions: account → Positions → three-dot menu (right of the holdings table) → download CSV.
- History: Activity & Orders → History (Dividends/Interest on) → date dropdown → Custom (not Year to date, not the 10/30/60/90 presets) → download/export icon on the right of the table toolbar (not the Positions three-dot menu). Repeat chunks if the download is capped.
- Upload every History file plus Positions, then Run analysis.
Wait until the History table finishes loading before using Download. UI details can change; if Download stays unavailable, refresh and confirm your date range.
View demo opens sample data labeled EXAMPLE DATA — invented tickers and fake quantities, not your portfolio. Educational only, not investment advice. When you are ready, create an account on https://dividendshq.com (open beta), upload History + Positions (only files you are authorized to process), then Run analysis.
View demo opens sample data labeled EXAMPLE DATA — not your portfolio.
1 View demo (EXAMPLE DATA) → 2 Create account → 3 Upload Fidelity History + Positions (only files you are authorized to process).

Why Custom dates instead of Year to date or 90-day presets?
